FAQ's

We are a small business so please read this page carefully before you order so you can be sure to receive your package exactly as you would like - when you like!

 

How does ordering and deliveries work?

Order before 10am Tuesday for delivery on Friday. Your delivery can arrive any time during business hours, however, occasionally they arrive up to 7pm in the evening.

When you order please make sure you include your phone number and correct door number and postcode. If the property is hard to find please add directions in the address fields - for example: 9 Gladys Road ("hidden behind number 10") this helps us hugely to get to you on time.

If you realise you have made a mistake with your order or need to alter the address please email nicola@littlelondondeli.co.uk as soon as possible.

Why do you have a delivery charge?

In most cases we use a courier to delivery and have chosen to spend more on our environmentally friendly chilled packaging. This all adds up and costs us more than we charge our customer. But to be a sustainable business we have to pass some of this cost on.

Do I need to be in for delivery?

If you are not in when we deliver we will leave your order in a safe place (please let us know if you have a preference), on the doorstep or in the coolest place possible - please check your safe places when you get home if out on a delivery day. Note we use chilled packaging which will maintain the correct temperature for up to 24 hours.

What is the shelf life / use by date on fresh products?

Our meat and cheeses will be labelled on arrival with their 'eat by' date - these will be a minimum of three days.

Our breads and desserts are generally baked fresh so so they are best enjoyed on delivery day.  However, there is an option to have your loaves part-baked so you can enjoy them fresh from the oven up to a couple of days after delivery if you wish.
